This session will review three deals that happened in 2018, debating the challenges within the negotiation and how they were overcome.

  • Digital Bio-Convergence – where biology and technology collide in medicine

This session will bring the life science and digital worlds together to discuss how they have become more and more connected. It will review some technology areas that are crucial to support drug discovery and development and how they are getting adopted.

  • At the convergence of academia and business – how is Technology Transfer changing?

Technology transfer is at the base of driving life science success and has been a recurring topic of discussion in our Genesis debates. This stream will focus on discussing good practices in R&D collaboration, Licensing and Spin-outs and how these models are evolving.

  • Convergence to Increase R&D Productivity

Reducing attrition rates and time to market remain the main challenges of the industry. This stream will see how innovative technologies such as synthetic biology, nanotechnologies and artificial intelligence can support the R&D processes for the benefits of patients.
