London Bio-innovation Week

Additional opportunities to meet the life science ecosystem around Genesis

London Bio-innovation Week is a series of satellite events in London planned for the days leading up to the main Genesis event. Each session has a specific focus, allowing both Genesis attendees and non-attendees to target the sessions most relevant to them. At the time of preparing this document, the confirmed events comprise:

  • Afternoon Pitch & Learn session | 14.00-18.00 | ARC West London
This will be an opportunity for companies to present their value proposition to a select group of advisors who will provide feedback to help guide the companies to a better performance. There will also be a wider invited audience to enable 1-2-1 discussions over the networking.
  • BIA Women in Biotech – London | 16.30 – 20.00 | Bird & Bird LLP, London
  • Breakfast Seminar at The Shard: Developing an Effective Innovation Investment Strategy, hosted by Mathys & Squire | 8.30 – 11.00
The translation of bio-innovation into novel healthcare products and technologies to improve patient outcomes is completely reliant on securing sufficient investment. Whilst many will argue investment trends are cyclical, this has been a challenging financing environment, particularly at the early stages of development for a very extended period. As a consequence, bio-entrepreneurs are having to be flexible in the types, geographies, and cost of capital, but the underlying need for a robust, well-protected innovation remains critical. Kindly hosted by Mathys & Squire, the session will discuss what a modern-day innovation investment strategy requires.
  • Seminar “Mind the Gap: The Art of the Strategic Bridge”, hosted by CSM Cameron McKenna | 15.30-18.30
Discussing how companies can bridge the Seed to Series A financing gap
  • SLAS | ELRIG Meet-Up | 13:30-17:00
Join SLAS and ELRIG for a free year-end Meet-Up! Catch up with familiar faces, make new connections, join a lively scientific discussion, and stick around for a networking apéro as we wrap up 2026 together! This event is free, but registration is required.
  • Networking Reception | Embassy of Belgium/Flanders House hosted by Flanders Investment & Trade in the UK | 17.30-20.30
  • Genesis Welcome Reception, hosted by CSM Cameron McKenna | 19.00 – 21.00

More sessions are likely to arise as part of the London Bio-innovation Week collaboration with ELRIG and SLAS.
